Poison & Petals: A Halloween Garden Tour

Step beyond the blossoms and discover the darker side of the garden on this adults-only guided walk through Mount Congreve Gardens.
Over the course of 60 minutes, uncover poisonous plants, folklore, hidden histories and botanical curiosities, while learning which plants are best admired from a distance.

Paranormal, Past and Present

Join psychical researcher, author and GhostÉire co-founder Anthony Kerrigan for an evening exploring the history, present and possible future of paranormal investigation.
Anthony will also share insights from GhostÉire’s 2024 investigation of Waterford’s Irish Wake Museum and reveal some of what the team discovered.

Discover the darker side of Waterford’s history on this special after-hours walking tour through the city.
Led by two experienced guides, the tour journeys from the Viking Triangle to Ballybricken Square, uncovering stories of crime, punishment, imprisonment, superstition, disease and death from across the centuries.

Masks & Mystics: Children’s Halloween Workshop

Get creative during the midterm break with a Halloween workshop at the Irish Wake Museum.
Children can design and decorate their own Halloween-themed masks inspired by folklore, traditions and seasonal characters, with all materials supplied and finished creations to take home.

Waterford’s Weird and Wicked Past
Medieval Museum | 24–30 October | 11am–12pm
Discover the gruesome, strange and sometimes downright disgusting realities of medieval life with this entertaining children’s tour at the Medieval Museum.
Through storytelling and interactive interpretation, young visitors will learn about medieval medicine, hygiene, food, crime and punishment, along with some of the more unusual details of everyday life centuries ago.

Lakeside Samhain Sauna

If you’re looking for a more relaxed way to celebrate Halloween, Lakeside Samhain Sauna offers a cosy alternative to the usual night out. Taking place on Saturday, 31 October from 6:30 pm–9:30 pm, the experience combines yoga with Yoga with Ginni, a lakeside sauna and seasonal treats in a calm, Samhain-inspired setting. Tickets are €38 per person, making it a lovely option for anyone who wants to mark the evening with warmth, wellbeing and a slower pace.
Halloween Party at The Reg

Get spooky in Waterford City this Halloween as The Reg’s annual Halloween Party returns for an evening of creepy cocktails, music, and plenty of Halloween fun.
Kick things off with a spooky shot on arrival before hitting the dance floor with a DJ playing all your favourite tunes. Expect Halloween surprises throughout the evening, along with spot prizes for the best costumes.
And if you’re not ready for the night to end at 9 pm, stick around and keep the Halloween celebrations going into the evening.

Halloween Drag Bingo at The Haven
