Junior GIYers Halloween Camp at GROW HQ
Give young food lovers a Halloween midterm break with a difference at GROW HQ’s Junior GIYers Halloween Camp.
Running over four days from 27–30 October, the camp is designed for children aged 8–12 and combines gardening, cooking, creativity and outdoor learning in a fun, hands-on setting.
Each day includes activities built around four learning strands, giving young GIYers the chance to harvest fresh produce, get stuck into garden activities and cook with ingredients they have helped to gather themselves. Sessions will be led by GROW HQ’s team, including Head Chef Bruno Dantes, Head Grower Richard Mee and Head of Education Mary.
A healthy, seasonal lunch is included each day, made using fresh GIY farm-sourced ingredients that the children will help to harvest and prepare.
It’s a brilliant way for curious young minds to spend the school holidays, while learning more about food, growing and where their meals come from.
