These are challenging routes designed with the experienced cyclist in mind. Taking cyclists due east of Dungarvan, along the Waterford Greenway to Kilmacthomas and then onwards towards Comeragh Mountains, these routes have it all.

The Gap Walk, Nire Valley

Follow an ancient pass through the Comeragh Mountains on this 6km linear trail, marked with green waymarkers. Known as “Beárna Bhéil a’ Bhealaigh,” The Gap offers breathtaking panoramic views across five counties on clear days. A moderate upland walk steeped in history and scenic beauty. Trailhead: Nire Valley Car Park.
