Waterford’s Weird & Wicked Past: Children’s Event at Waterford Treasures

Discover the gruesome, strange and sometimes downright disgusting side of medieval life with Waterford’s Weird and Wicked Past, a special children’s tour at the Medieval Museum this Halloween.

Designed especially for younger audiences, these entertaining tours use storytelling and interactive interpretation to bring some of the more unusual realities of the Middle Ages to life.

From medieval medicine and hygiene to crime and punishment, food and everyday life, children will uncover fascinating facts about what it was really like to live centuries ago – including plenty of the weird and wicked details that don’t always make it into the history books.

Taking place throughout the Halloween midterm break, this fun and educational tour is a great way for families to discover Waterford’s medieval past together.
