Tunefest festival will make its return to Dungarvan from the 21st to the 23rd of June 2024 in to showcase the best of traditional Irish music and dance. Suitable for all age groups, whether you want to relax and soak up the atmosphere or be directly involved, you don’t want to miss this one!

For musicians looking to upskill or learn from experienced players there is an array of fantastic workshops available including, Keith O’Loughlin on the banjo, Tara Breen for the fiddle, Conor Moriarty on accordion, Colm Phelan on the bodhrán. Places can be booked directly from the website.

For an uplifting musical experience from Grammy nominated group Cherish The Ladies don’t miss their performances on Friday 21st June at 7:30pm Saturday 22nd June at 7:30pm in Dungarvan Town Hall. Other performances include classic Irish folk tunes from Danú on Sunday 23rd June at 8pm in The Park Hotel and folk music trio TALISK will take to the stage on Saturday 22nd June at 8pm in Club Creation.

Throughout the weekend there will be opportunities to join in or follow the pub sessions trail hosted in some of Dungarvan’s best pubs and restaurants, including Merrys Gastro Pub, The Moorings and Downey’s Bar, offering the perfect combination of food and live music.

Saturday 22nd will see the group busking competition kick off from 2.30pm, registration for those interested will take place at The Local at 2pm before the groups take to the streets for some live traditional tunes. Buskers can play in groups of up to 6 musicians, for €5 per person entry.
