Forest and Tunnel
This short yet memorable section of the Greenway runs through leafy woodland and features the Ballyvoyle Tunnel – a 400-metre curved tunnel lit from within, offering a dramatic and immersive experience. Emerging from the tunnel, visitors are rewarded with the stunning Ballyvoyle Viaduct, one of the most iconic photo spots on the trail.
The route is mostly flat and shaded, making it an excellent choice for a leisurely walk or gentle cycle. It’s perfect for those looking to enjoy a peaceful section of the Greenway with a strong sense of place and heritage.
