The Hot Pod Celebrates Five Years of Seaside Wellness in Waterford

The Hot Pod is celebrating five years in business this October, marking a milestone for the popular beach sauna experience that has become a firm favourite along Waterford’s stunning coastline.

Founded by Ed and Dee Flavin, The Hot Pod will celebrate its fifth birthday on 30th October 2026, having grown from a single sauna at Clonea Beach into a thriving business operating at three coastal locations across County Waterford.

What began as one beachside sauna quickly gained popularity, with demand leading to extended opening hours and additional locations. Today, The Hot Pod offers year-round seaside sauna experiences at Clonea, Kilmurrin and Dunmore East, giving locals and visitors the opportunity to relax, unwind and embrace the benefits of outdoor wellness against the backdrop of Waterford’s beautiful coastline.

Bringing Wellness and Community Together

Over the past five years, The Hot Pod has become much more than a place to enjoy a sauna. Through regular seasonal collaborations with local wellness practitioners and food suppliers, the business has created opportunities for people to connect, recharge and enjoy the outdoors.

From beachside yoga and Pilates sessions to relaxing sound baths, these collaborations bring together wellness, nature and community, encouraging people to take time for themselves while enjoying Waterford’s coastal surroundings.

The business has also expanded beyond its beach locations, offering a mobile sauna available for private hire nationwide. Popular for wedding day-two celebrations, hen and stag parties, and sports team recovery sessions, The Hot Pod continues to find new ways to bring its signature sauna experience to customers.

Five Years of Support

Reflecting on the milestone, Ed and Dee shared their appreciation for the community that has supported their business over the years:

“We would like to thank our customers for all the love and support they have shown us over the years. It means the world to us to have this business, and we appreciate the continued custom.”
