World Bee Day with The Art Hand

Celebrate World Bee Day on the Copper Coast with a mindful and creative workshop at The Art Hand as part of the Bealtaine Living Earth Festival.

These free workshops invite participants to create a beautiful bee portrait using recycled and natural materials while exploring the importance of biodiversity, pollinators, and our natural environment. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark, the experience also includes a gentle stroll through the surrounding fields, with the chance to meet some of The Art Hand’s much-loved animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and two pet lambs.

Bees play a vital role in protecting biodiversity, supporting sustainable agriculture, and helping to maintain healthy ecosystems. Their contribution to pollination is essential for food security and environmental conservation, making World Bee Day an important opportunity to celebrate and protect these remarkable creatures.

Designed as a relaxed and welcoming creative experience, the workshops are ideal for adults and young people aged 12+ when accompanied by an adult.
