Join Waterford Suir Valley Railway for Heritage Week this August!

The Waterford Suir Valley Railway Heritage Week Event will be held on Saturday 16th August. To celebrate Ireland’s Railway Industrial Heritage, you are invited to visit Kilmeadan Station to attend a 30 minute talk which will cover :

• Brief history of the line and WSVR

• The current railway infrastructure

• The Bray Waddington crane restoration project

• The planned return of steam

• Future plans

There will be an information session at 12noon and 2pm on Saturday 16th August. These sessions are FREE of charge. Places are limited to 30 per session so it is essential to pre-book your space by calling 051384058 or email : sales@wsvrailway.ie

During Heritage Week the railway will operate the regular schedule with train departing on the hour from 11am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday and 12noon to 5pm, Sunday. This can be booked online through the website or get you tickets on the day in the Mark 2 Irish Rail Carriage Ticket Office. Usual fares apply.
