Choo Choo Fun Days at Waterford Suir Valley Railway

Meet Honey Bear and Barry Bear at Kilmeaden Station before setting off on a memorable railway adventure. Shake their hands, enjoy a friendly bear hug, and have your photo taken together before boarding the train.

Discover the magic of rail on a 40-minute journey through the countryside, travelling along Waterford Greenway and the River Suir. Look out for a glimpse into Mount Congreve Gardens and remember to make a wish as the train passes through the magic wood.

Children will receive a treasure hunt sheet to complete before and during the journey. They can also visit the friendly face painter and choose a little memento of the day for their face or hand.

Make a full day of your visit with refreshments from the Whistlestop Café, including a selection of sandwiches, Annette’s Bakehouse treats, and creamy ’99 ice creams. Indoor and outdoor picnic tables are also available.

Before heading home, take some time to explore the Story of Rail storyboards located around Kilmeaden Station. With friendly bears, a scenic train journey, treasure hunting and face painting, it’s a fun-filled adventure for the whole family.
