Food Tours Bring the Flavour of Co.Waterford

Taste Waterford, the food and drink network of Co. Waterford, offers an exciting range of food tours and experiences that showcase not just the renowned culinary scene – but also landscapes, history, and local artisans.

Four experiences offer a unique insight into the world-class food and drink of the region, including two walking tours of Waterford City and an immersive tour of the stunning Comeragh Mountains.

New For 2026

Taste Waterford’s latest experience – Fire & Feast – brings together one of the county’s finest chefs with an award-winning pottery studio.

Launched in 2026, Fire & Feast is an intimate experience of pottery making with Sarah Lincoln of the Ardmore Pottery & Gallery, and exceptional food with Luis Martin of Mara Restaurant – currently Munster’s best chef.

Guests start the evening with a welcome drink, and then enjoy a fine dining experience created by Luis – all served on bespoke tableware.

Then guests get creative.

After learning from Sarah the background to the studio and pottery-making techniques, guests create their own piece under the expert tutorage of Sarah.

Once fired in three weeks’ time, the piece can be collected or sent for overseas visitors.

There’s a tour to suit everyone at Taste Waterford.

There are two fully-guided walking tours of Waterford City, and both offer award-winning food and drink, and an opportunity to discover renowned venues, hear food stories, and understand the rich culinary heritage of the region.

The Waterford Heritage Taste Tour is a three-hour evening tour of Waterford City, with three exciting food stops, including the multi-award-winning Momo Restaurant.

The City Select Taste Tour, a lunchtime walking tour, lets guests discover five foodie venues – including experiencing ‘coffee cupping’ at Trade on Coffee House Lane – where coffee was first traded in Ireland.

And if you’re looking for a longer experience, the Mountain Splendour Taste Tour is for you.

The six-hour tour explores the beautiful Comeragh Mountains, with five highlights including seeing shepherding in action, lunch, and a mountain forage.
