Thomas Francis Meagher Bar at the Granville

Waterford City

Visit our Thomas Francis Meagher Bar where you can sample from our Whiskey Wall of over 50 Irish Whiskeys or try a craft Gin Cocktail made with herbs from Irelands only Rooftop Cocktail Herb Garden.

Our bar is named after Thomas Francis Meagher who was born in the Granville Hotel in 1823. He went on to become Secretary to the territory and Governor of Montana. He was a Pall Bearer at Abraham Lincolns funeral and was originator and designer of our National Irish Tricolour, which was first flown in Waterford in 1848.

Our carvery is extremely popular with hotel guests, day visitors and local businesses. Meat and fish lovers alike will find plenty to choose from on both our Carvery and Bar Food Menu.
