A Race Like No Other
Waterford, founded by Vikings 1,111 years ago, sets the perfect stage for an unforgettable marathon. The race kicks off in the heart of the city, where cobbled streets whisper stories of the past, before leading runners through stunning landscapes. Imagine pacing yourself along the banks of the River Suir, taking in the rolling greenery of the Waterford countryside, and, for those running the half or full marathon, passing through the world-famous Mount Congreve Gardens, bursting with vibrant colours and rare plants.
With a full marathon, half marathon, and a 10km option, runners of all abilities can take part. And new for 2025, the event proudly introduces a children’s run and a disability-friendly race, making it an inclusive celebration of fitness for all ages and abilities.
