Waterford Walls Festival 2026
Waterford Walls Festival returns from 7th – 16th August, 2026, transforming Waterford City and surrounding areas into one of Europe’s most vibrant open-air galleries.
Over ten days, more than 70 local, national, and international artists will create large-scale murals across the city, adding new works to Waterford’s ever-growing collection of world-class street art. Featuring some of the biggest names in the global street art scene alongside emerging talent, the festival offers visitors a unique opportunity to watch artworks come to life in real time.
Beyond murals, Waterford Walls Festival presents an exciting programme of events celebrating creativity, urban culture, and community. Visitors can enjoy panel discussions, artist talks, film screenings, Draw & Dine experiences and a variety of interactive activities throughout the festival.
The festival hub will be open daily, serving as the heart of the event. With live painting, DJs, a fully licensed bar, and a lively atmosphere, it becomes one of the city’s best outdoor gathering spaces and the perfect place to soak up the festival energy.
A festival highlight takes place on 15th August with the annual Street Party at Pocket Park, featuring live painting, breakdancing, music, and family-friendly entertainment throughout the day.
Waterford Walls is designed for all ages, with dedicated workshops for children and young people where they can try spray painting, mural marking, and other creative activities. Whether you’re a street art enthusiast, a family looking for a fun day out, or a visitor exploring Waterford, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
A full festival programme and event schedule will be announced soon.
