Comeragh Wild Festival: Duke Special

Duke Special will headline a special intimate concert at Clonagam Church, Portlaw, as part of the Comeraghs Wild Festival (July 9th – 12th). Taking place on Sunday, 12th July at 2.30 pm, this unique performance promises a truly atmospheric experience in one of the festival’s most distinctive and much-loved venues.

Known for its magical setting, Clonagam Church has become a standout location within the festival, hosting memorable performances that beautifully blend music and ambience.

Duke Special (Belfast musician Peter Wilson) is renowned for his richly creative style, weaving together music, theatre, poetry, and storytelling. With 14 albums and EPs released and performances spanning the globe, he has also composed for productions such as Mother Courage and Her Children at London’s National Theatre and created original work for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

A captivating live performer, Duke Special delivers a truly unique experience, whether performing solo, with long-time collaborator Chip Bailey, or alongside larger ensembles, making this an unmissable highlight of the festival programme.
