The Art Hand

Copper Coast

The Art Hand is an artist-run studio and gallery set along the cliffs of the Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark. Founded in 2012, it is run by Sean Corcoran and Miranda Corcoran, whose work is deeply inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Sean, an environmental artist, is known for large-scale sand art created on beaches, as well as community projects like the Crockery Mountain mosaic in Dungarvan. Miranda creates vibrant paintings on glass and canvas, inspired by flowers and coastal nature, with work held in collections worldwide.

The Art Hand is both a gallery and a working studio, offering original artworks, prints, and handmade pieces. Visitors can drop in or arrange appointments to view Miranda and Sean’s creations.

Miranda also hosts small-group creative experiences, including “Let’s Make a Light Catcher”, “Coffee + Canvas + Cake”, and “Flowers of the Copper Coast”, where participants explore glass and acrylic painting in a relaxed setting.

Sean runs sand art experiences at Kilmurrin Cove, creating large-scale designs with a rake. These mindful sessions embrace nature and impermanence.

The Art Hand offers an immersive, creative experience rooted in art, landscape, and community.
