Comeraghs Wild Festival: Summer Session in the Comeraghs

Experience an unforgettable night of live music in the heart of the Comeragh Mountains, where fresh mountain air and a lively atmosphere create the perfect setting for an open-air concert.

Taking to the stage are Midlands favourites Ruaile Buaile, a dynamic five-piece known for their distinctive “twisted trad” sound. Since forming in 2011, they’ve earned a strong reputation for their high-energy performances, blending traditional Irish influences with a contemporary twist.

With the addition of acclaimed fiddler Cathal Guinan in 2021 and banjo virtuoso Seán Bourke in 2023, the band’s sound has grown even richer and more vibrant. Alongside original members Niall Kelly (vocals & guitar), Jack Godley (percussion), and Shane Lynam (vocals & bass), Ruaile Buaile deliver a powerful live show filled with driving rhythms, soaring melodies, and infectious energy that’s sure to have the crowd on their feet.

Joining them on the night are Cork favourites The Frank & Walters, one of Ireland’s most enduring and much-loved alternative rock bands. Led by Paul Linehan (lead vocals & bass), with Ashley Keating (drums), Rory Murphy (lead guitar), and Cian Corbett (keyboards), the band continue to captivate audiences decades after their debut.

Known for iconic tracks like Fashion Crisis Hits New York and After All, The Frank & Walters bring catchy hooks, clever songwriting, and a wave of feel-good nostalgia — the perfect complement to Ruaile Buaile’s energetic trad sound.

Set against the dramatic landscape of the Comeraghs, this outdoor concert promises a special blend of tradition and indie rock — a celebration of Irish music, community, and long summer evenings.
