This Halloween, step inside the Irish Wake Museum for a tour with a twist. Discover old traditions, strange superstitions and the fascinating ways people marked life and death in Ireland from early Christian times right up to the 20th century.
To add to the atmosphere, families are invited to take part in an age-old Irish Samhain tradition: dressing up! Long before modern Halloween costumes, children and adults wore cloaks, shawls and masks to ward off wandering spirits. We’d love to see little ones (and grown-ups too!) come along in simple disguises to keep the custom alive.
It’s a Halloween experience that’s both eye-opening and a little bit magical perfect for families looking to celebrate the season with something truly Irish.
Please note: The subject matter may not be suitable for everyone and is recommended for ages 8 and above.
Spaces are limited – book early to join in the fun.
