The Waterford Gallery of Art (WGOA) is home to one of the oldest and best civic collections of art in Ireland. Located in the heart of the Waterford Cultural Quarter, the gallery hosts a free programme of exhibitions, talks, tours and workshops. Set over two floors of a recently renovated 1840s bank building, WGOA welcomes all visitors to enjoy our varied programme of exhibitions, participate in free art making classes and take time out to experience the galleries at your leisure.

The Waterford Art Collection can be found featuring in displays in WGOA, Bishops Palace,  SETU, Waterford University Hospital, Theatre Royal and across the city nd county. The collection includes works by some of Ireland’s most renowned artists including:  Paul Henry RHA, Jack B. Yeats RHA, Mainie Jellett, Louis Le Brocquy RHA,  Evie Hone RHA, Mary Swanzy HRHA, Maurice MacGonigal PPRHA, Hilda Roberts HRHA, Seán Keating PPRHA, Carey Clake PPRHA, Charles Lamb RHA, RUA, Stevenson PPRUA, Colin Middleton MBE, RHA, RUA, and George Russell (aka. AE), as well as contemporary acquisitions of work by Alice Maher RHA, Martin Gale RHA, James Hanley RHA, Mick O’Dea PPRHA, Donald Teskey RHA, and Una Sealy RHA.
