Ballyin House is a Georgian Period Property built in 1820 looking directly at Lismore Castle in the picturesque town of Lismore, in the Blackwater Valley in Ireland`s Ancient East.  
 
The Fletcher O`Connor Family of Ballyin House welcome guests where they can enjoy a Six-course sustainable Afternoon Tea on advertised dates.  The Menus are created from what is in season and growing on the grounds of Ballyin House plus crops and supplies sourced locally.  All dietary requirements are catered for and private events can also be facilitated. 
 
While dining at Ballyin House, you shall also be dining in the same location as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Author and Creator of the character "Sherlock Holmes".  Mary Foley, mother of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; is directly connected to Ballyin House.  In fact, Sir Arthur lived at Ballyin House for a few months when he was 20 years of age in 1879.  At the time, he was training as a Physician in Scotland when he was offered the opportunity of being the Ship`s Physician on the SS Hope during this Artic Adventure.  He was delighted with this opportunity and worked on this ship for a few months.  On completion of the adventure, he was exhausted; and on return to his family in Edinburagh he was sent to BallyinHouse, Lismore to rest and recover.
