Theatre Royal – Where History and Entertainment meet

The Theatre Royal on The Mall in Waterford is Ireland’s oldest continually operating theatre.  Lovingly restored, this Victorian gem hidden within a beautiful Georgian building, is a jewel in the midst of Waterford’s Viking Triangle.  The building which was designed by famous Waterford architect John Roberts first opened in 1785 and the first performance was Shakespeare’s popular five-act comedy As You Like It.

Why not relax and enjoy a pre-show drink at the Stage Door Bar from 7pm on performance evenings.
