Jack Burtchaell is an award winning tour guide with over 21 years experience who delivers original walking tours in Waterford interwoven with history and lore. Jack’s walking tour is one hour in duration, and it takes you through the regional capital and Ireland's oldest city, including two cathedrals, four national monuments, and a gallery of rogues and rascals, delivered in a witty, entertaining style, by a master storyteller. Jack Burtchaell wears his scholarship lightly and yet in retrospect many visitors appreciate that they have just spent an hour with someone very special in a city which has a history to match his telling of it. Jack’s tour showcases the best of Ireland’s Ancient East. Jack has been awarded 'Best Tour Feature' by CIE International Awards of Excellence in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and a Special Merit Award 2007. He also won a Bord Fáilte Irish Welcome Award in 2002. In March 2001 he won Jury's Hotel Achievement Award.
