Departing from Waterford city centre and visiting Coffee House Lane, Ballybeg Greens and The Sea Gardener.

Hop on a Bus Bia and visit some of the food and drink makers of Waterford. This food trail will bring you to meet the people who make so much local food and drink, from beer to gin, blaas and breads, cheese or ice cream, there’s whole host of makers right here in Waterford.

This tour departs from The Granville Hotel in Waterford stopping at Coffee House Lane to hear the food history of Waterford port, and meet a family who are passionate about good coffee.  Next up, the community garden Ballybeg Greens, before finishing on the beach with The Sea Gardener Marie Power to enjoy a mini forage, talk and tasting followed by a light lunch incorporating seaweed.

The Bus Bia will return you to your original start point in Waterford where you will be free to go and enjoy the rest of your day.

Continue the evening with the Waterford Way Tapas trail – combo tickets for both events are available for the reduced rate of €90.

The Bus Bia runs every Wednesday throughout the autumn, departing from Waterford and Dungarvan on alternate weeks with different producers included in each tour.

Inspired by our food and drink makers throughout Ireland, this event is part of the invitation to Taste the Island, a lovely initiative hosted to showcase the best of local and seasonal food throughout the Island of Ireland.  See discoverireland.ie for more details and more events as part of this programme.
